Best Custom Kayak Steering Setup with 30lb Thrust Trolling Motor
It took me a while to figure out how to make a custom kayak steering systems. I have a 10 foot Pelican Icon 100 fishing kayak but this setup can also be used on canoes too. Before I used to have to use my kayak paddle to go left and right with my trolling motor mounted. I was going to take my modified kayak out today but then it started to rain and there was lightning as well. Hopefully some time this week I can take out my kayak and test out the steering. Another kayak video that I want to do is a top speed run with my 30lb thrust trolling motor on my kayak. I used my DJI Mavic Pro to active track my kayak while I was riding around.
I plan on putting a 55lb thrust trolling motor on my kayak in the new future which will give me more power and speed.
