My Home Defense Weapons
One of my favorite hobbies is to go to the local shooting range shoot splatter targets and steel targets. I own two pistols and only one shotgun for my home defense weapons. All the weapons have laser light combos mounted to improve accuracy. These are the pistols listed: Springfield 45ACP, Springfield XD Mod 2 9mm, Mossberg 930 SPX, and I plan on buying the new Hudson H9 9mm pistol. The 12 gauge Mossberg 930 SPX Tactical was purchased in January 2017 and the video below was the 1st day I could take it out on the range. I shot over 300 rounds with no hiccups or issues. The light trigger, sights, and whole feel of the shotgun.
This Mossberg 930 SPX is rated to be a 7 + 1 for the total capacity of the shotgun shells but there is an easy trick that I found by having a floating ghost round on the shotgun carrier. So you can actually have 9 shotgun ammo shells with the Mossberg 930 SPX Tactical. The gun seems to be versatile for home defense or recreation. I shot birdshot #8, 00BK, & 1oz Slugs with no issues. It is just an all around fun shotgun to shoot! This was just a quick 1st impression on the Mossber 930 SPX and how to add 9 ammo shells to it.
Consider Enhancing Weapons with Accessories
I enjoy my new shot gun to the fullest especaily since I found it works on the long distance shooting range at over 100yrds with a metal slug. The Mossberg 930 SPX Tactical Shotgun is a semi automatic shotgun that can hold 9 shot gun shells. I was able to shoot this Mossberg shot gun with out mounting a bipod or high powered rifle scope. The sights on this shotgun are amazing for acquiring a target quickly and accurately.
In the future I might buy some Caldwell bipods and mount a Vortex Optics Viper HS 4 Scope. I usually shop at academy or Dick’s Sporting Goods but I found shopping online saves me lots of money. You can use these savings to buy other accessories for your weapons. I used the DJI Mavic Pro quadcopter Drone to measure the distance of the target from afar.
